Here’s everything you need to know about our move back to our Ballston campus!

IMPORTANT DATES OF OPERATION

  • September 23 – 30: CLOSED for moving. No daycare or boarding available.
  • October 1: Ballston OPEN for daycare!

WHAT IS DAYCARE PLUS?

Our new daycare program (Daycare PLUS) will consist of smaller playgroups and much more personalized activities for your dog.

Each day your dog will have the opportunity to play with friends (canine and human), experience fun, positive training, rest when they want, and participate in exciting activities. Their day will be shaped by what THEY like to do (within reason) and they will always have a choice about how to participate.

Your dog’s day will be based on the question: what would your dog choose to do all day?

All activities will be led and monitored by the same trainers and daycare team that your dog already knows and loves.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the hours for Daycare PLUS?
Daycare hours will be 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. You can pick up or drop off any time during those hours.

What do you mean by “smaller daycare”?
“Smaller” daycare means we accept fewer dogs per day, with more humans per dog, for more personalized care and attention.

Our physical space is still quite large, and there’s plenty of room to run! In fact, with fewer dogs per playgroup, your pup may have MORE space available than at Shirlington.

Will you still offer boarding?
No. We have LOVED caring for your pups, but after 22 years, we are retiring from the boarding part of the business. We will gladly offer boarding recommendations on request.

What does it mean that dogs can choose their activities?
Dogs can’t speak English, but they’re still pretty clear about their preferences. We pay attention to what your dog enjoys most. Do they want to play? Rest? Train? We will offer options, but we never force a dog to participate in any activity they do not enjoy.

Is there parking for pick-up and drop-off?
Yes, but we will also provide you with a phone number that you can call or text on arrival. We will be happy to come out to meet you at your car.
