Whether it’s your first puppy or you’ve done this before, we’ll guide you through practical, positive training to develop good habits early and sets the foundation for a well-mannered adult dog.
Our experienced, certified trainers work with families in Arlington, Alexandria, and throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., and offer virtual training for clients anywhere.
You’re Right On Time

Most puppy owners feel a mix of excitement and overwhelm, and that’s completely normal.
Biting, accidents, jumping, not listening… it’s all part of raising a puppy. These early stages are a natural part of development that we’ll guide you through.
The first few months go by quickly, and what your puppy learns now sets the foundation for everything that follows. With the right guidance, you can create good habits early and avoid bigger challenges down the road.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own. We’ll help you concentrate on what matters most, take things step by step, and feel confident in what you’re doing.
What We’ll Work On Together

We prioritize the skills that make the biggest difference right now, without overwhelming you or your puppy.
House training and preventing accidents
Puppy biting and chewing
Crate training and settling
Socialization done safely and thoughtfully
Coming when called
Walking nicely on leash
Paying attention around distractions
Calm behavior at home
Every puppy and every household is different. We’ll guide you through what to prioritize first and how to build from there, so you and your puppy can move forward with confidence.
Training Options for Your Puppy
Group Classes and Parties for Puppies

For young puppies (14 weeks and under), Puppy Party provides a safe, trainer-supervised opportunity to build social skills with other pups. In Puppy Kindergarten, puppies continue their social experiences while beginning to learn foundation skills.
For older puppies (up to 6 months), classes place more emphasis on focus and attention, giving you the opportunity to practice your puppy’s training around other dogs and distractions.
Start with Puppy Party and Puppy Kindergarten for early socialization and immediate puppy concerns, then continue into Puppy Basic Obedience to build reliable skills.

The Primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life. During this time, puppies should be exposed to as many new people, animals, stimuli and environments as can be achieved safely and without causing over-stimulation manifested as excessive fear, withdrawal or avoidance behavior.
