Does your dog leap into puddles with joy, or tiptoe around them with disdain? This month’s photo set dives into the theme of April Showers, complete with a rainy-day backdrop, a cheerful umbrella, and a fluffy towel for soggy paws.
These photo sessions aren’t just cute—they’re great for training! Posing with props like umbrellas and towels provides a perfect chance to practice ‘stay’ with unusual and sometimes tricky distractions. For many dogs, the umbrella was a bit intimidating at first, but with patience and positive reinforcement, we helped them build confidence.
We also gave extra attention to paw care for our Daycare PLUS activities in April, with games that involved wiping feet and learning to use a scratchboard for nail care.
