Group Classes Will Return — Join Our Newsletter to Hear First
WOOFS! will not be renewing our lease at 4241A N Pershing Drive, so group classes and Puppy Parties will be temporarily paused after April while we search for a new location.
Puppy Parties and group training have always been an important part of what we do, and we are actively looking for a space where we can resume classes as soon as possible. We’re excited to find the next home for WOOFS! classes and look forward to bringing our group training community together again soon.
Good news: We’re still hosting Puppy Parties through April 21 plus two workshops on April 12 (Polite Greetings and Come When Called). See details below if you’d like to join us before our move.
If you know of a space that might work for dog training classes, we would love to hear from you. An open indoor space suitable for small group classes in the Arlington / Northern Virginia area would be ideal.
The best way to hear about new classes and Puppy Parties is to join our newsletter to hear first when new classes and Puppy Parties are announced.
Final Workshops and Puppy Parties This April
Before our current lease ends, there are still a few opportunities to join us. Spots are limited, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is a great time.
- Puppy Parties continue through April 21
- Workshops on April 12
Start Training Now
While group classes will be paused after April, many dogs get started through private training sessions. Private training allows us to work on the same foundation skills taught in class—such as focus, leash walking, polite greetings, and confidence—at a pace tailored to your dog.
Young puppies especially benefit from getting started early. Private sessions can cover many of the same skills normally introduced in puppy class and help you build strong training habits right away.
Many of our clients begin with private training and later transition into group classes when they become available.

Dog-friendly approach
In an unregulated industry, we overachieve on our own education, and use only the most up-to-date, humane, dog- and human-friendly training methods in group training classes. We ensure a good time is had by all, while achieving excellent performance results.

Real-life Results
Speaking of results, what good are they in the classroom if you can’t replicate them at home and out in the world? Our curriculum sets you up to enjoy a well-behaved dog in your everyday life.
Puppies 9 weeks to 6 months
For pups 14 weeks and under, begin your adventure with Puppy Party socialization hour. At the same time, your pup can begin their group training education in Puppy Kindergarten or Puppy Basic Obedience. And check out our shorter workshops like Leash Walking and Come When Called (Recall) — many have no prerequisite so you can start right away!

6 months through Adult
Adolescent and adult dogs can jump right in with Adult Basic Obedience, where you won’t just learn basic skills — you will practice with the same distractions you have to live with in real, everyday life. In Intermediate Obedience class, you’ll continue to improve on focus around distractions as well as start to reduce reliance on food and treats. Refine your skills with classes like Tricks and Canine Good Citizen. And check out the shorter workshops like Leash Walking and Come When Called (Recall) — many have no prerequisite so you can start right away!
