AGE: Dogs must be at least 9 weeks old to start daycare.
REPRODUCTIVE STATUS: Intact dogs are permitted to play in daycare on a case-by-case basis. Female dogs may not attend daycare for four weeks after the beginning of their estrus (heat) cycle.
VACCINATIONS: Proof of current vaccinations is required. Puppies must be up-to-date on their veterinary recommended Distemper / Parvo (DAPP/DHPP) schedule. Adults must have both DHPP and Rabies vaccines. Canine Influenza and Bordatella vaccines are STRONGLY recommended.
COLLARS: All dogs are required to wear a quick-release collar. Buckle or martingale collars are not permitted during daycare (and should never be worn during play). Bows, bandannas or other collar attachments will be removed during play.
HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Sick dogs will not be permitted in the building. Do not bring your dog to daycare if they are vomiting or have diarrhea. All dogs must be on a flea prevention program. We reserve the right to trim your dogs NAILS at a charge of $15 if they are too long.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy possessive. We reward good behavior with treats and will attempt to modify undesirable behavior as much as we can. Dogs who become aggressive or over aroused will be given a break. WOOFS! reserves the right to remove any dog from daycare if they injure or attempt to injure another dog or person, or if they become too difficult to manage in the daycare environment. Excessive barking may also result in dismissal.
PLAY and REST: During the day, your dog will be allowed to take regular breaks. A break can be on the daycare floor, in a crate or in another separated space. This is normal. If your dog needs a break because there is a problem, we will let you know.
LONGEVITY: Young dogs like daycare the most. As your dog ages, they will need less exercise and can naturally become less social. As your dog reaches social maturity (1 to 3 years of age), they may no longer enjoy attending daycare. This is normal. We will communicate with you about your dog’s behavior and preferences over time.
RISKS: Owner acknowledges that there are risks inherent in keeping dogs in daycare settings, including risks to the health and wellbeing of the dog(s) as well as risks that the dog(s) may harm people, dogs or other property. WOOFS! is not responsible for any injuries or illness your dog may obtain in daycare.
EMERGENCY: In case of emergency, we will contact you or your emergency contact. Please make sure your emergency contact remains up to date. In the event of a life threatening illness or injury, we will attempt to transport your dog to a local emergency vet. WOOFS! is not be responsible for associated veterinary costs.
FEES: The most current daycares prices are always listed on Daycare page of our website. Multi-day daycare passes are available for purchase. Passes last for six months, and are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Payment for all services is due on the day that service is rendered.
HOURS: Daycare is open Monday – Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Dogs may be dropped off and picked up any time during regular hours. Reservations are appreciated. Please check our online calendar for closings due to events like major holidays or inclement weather.
LATE PICK-UP: A late fee of $1 /per minute will be charged for pick up after 7:00pm.
