WOOFS! offers Group Classes, Private Lessons and a Boarding School
program to help you train your dog. We use positive training techniques
to get you and your dog working together in a fun and rewarding
way. Since educating the handler is essential for lasting success,
we want to teach your dog how to learn and you how to teach! With
these skills you can teach your dog anything.
WOOFS! offer group training classes for dogs of all ages. Classes
are limited to 10 dogs with two instructors, and meet 1 hour a week
for 7 weeks, unless otherwise noted.
We require all dogs to be up to date on vaccinations and owners
are required to provide proof of current vaccinations. Puppies must
have at least their first two rounds of Distemper and Parvo. Adults
should have Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza,
Parvovirus, Rabies. Bordatella is highly recommended.

Puppy Kindergarten
is for puppies up to 4 months old. It is an on-going four week class
that handlers can join at any week, giving young pups the
opportunity to start learning NOW! Puppy Kindergarten focuses on
critical issues like house training, crate training, nipping, name
game, handling, restraint and socialization with lots of play time.
Cost: $75. Puppy Kindergarten is recommended in combination with
Puppy Basic. (Save $25 when you sign up for both)
Puppy Basic is training
for dogs 14 weeks to 6 months old. It is a seven week class that
focuses on basic obedience skills: name game, sit, down, proper
greetings, come here, stay, off and take it, loose leash walking
and socialization with play time. Puppy Basic is recommended in
combination with Puppy Kindergarten
or if you’ve never taken a training class with your puppy.
Cost: $205 (Save $25 when you sign up for both Kindergarten and
Basic )
Adult Basic is training
for dogs over 6 months old. It is a seven week class that focuses
on basic obedience skills: name game, sit, down, proper greetings,
come here, stay, off and take it and loose leash walking. Adult
Basic is great for relationship building and recommended if you’ve
never taken an obedience class. Play time is included if appropriate.
Cost: $205
Intermediate Manners
is a seven week class for dogs who have previously taken Basic training.
Practice the skills you learned in Basic with added distractions,
distance and time. Continue to improve your dogs skills and work
towards faster, more accurate responses with less dependance on
the presence of food. Cost: $205
Advanced Manners is
a seven week class for dogs who have previously taken Basic and
Intermediate training. Advanced focuses on obedience in the real
world and off leash skills. Teach your dog to greet friendly strangers,
sit politely for petting and walk through a crowd. Elements of the American Kennel Club’s (AKC) Canine
Good Citizen Test (CGC) are included. Cost: $205
Loose Leash Walking
Loose leash walking is one of the
most labor intensive things to teach. This class provides four weeks
of intensive instruction on teaching your dog to walk by your side
and NOT pull. If pulling is your issue, this is your class!
Cost: $140
Fun Stuff!
Tricks training is
a four week class that works with your dog’s basic obedience
skills to learn fun new tricks and play group games. A great way
to have fun and show off what your dog can do!
Prerequisite: Basic Manners.
Cost: $140.
Rally
Obedience
is the newest sport to hit the dog world.
You and your dog navigate a course
of designated stations, each
of which lists a behavior for the dog to perform. Focus on improving
basic obedience, working as a team and having FUN!
Prerequisite: Intermediate Manners. Cost: $165.
Flyball a fast
flying sport for the ball obsessed dog! Train your dog to be part of
a four dog relay race bounding over jumps, retrieving the ball and
triggering the next dog to run. Lots of fun for high energy dogs!
Prerequisite: Intermediate
Manners. Cost: $165.
